-
Clash of Clans!
-

Minecraft is a game that allows players to build anything they can imagine. From simple houses to elaborate palaces, the possibilities are endless.
If you’re curious about what to build in Minecraft or just want to see how other people place blocks to make something beautiful, then check out these 100+ building ideas and tutorials.
102 Cool Minecraft Building Ideas In 2025
1. Modern Minecraft Mansion With a Fishing Pool
If you want to live in luxury and be the envy of your friends, then we have many more Minecraft mansion ideas on this list – let’s start strong with this Mansion Design by Rizzia, which features a relaxing fishing pool surrounded by modern decor.
Made from materials you can find all around you, the minimalist design of the mansion is certainly going to be an eye-catching one in your survival or the multiplayer world.
2. Black and White Lighthouse
You’ve built your house, your mineshaft and you’ve already got a farm, but you might be looking for something else to make your Minecraft world come to life. There are plenty of ideas you can go with, but have you considered a lighthouse for your coast to add some realism?
Here we have an excellent lighthouse design that uses easy-to-gather materials such as black and white wool, wood, and even how to make concrete in Minecraft. Of course, at night, you can see the bright yellow light shine across the world.
3. A Cosy Forest Brick House
It can get quite boring building the same old wood house over and over again when you invariably create a new Minecraft world.
The above image offers some great inspiration on how you can make your home much more interesting, and even use some new blocks, like brick and spiderwebs, to add a little bit more life.
Also, don’t forget about the surrounding area! Make sure you’re adding gravel paths and lakes filled with lily pads to further add beauty and ensure your building ideas in Minecraft actually fit in!
4. 3 Tier Stone Fountain
This 3 tier fountain can be quickly built-in under 30 minutes and will help to add some extra design to your Minecraft world that you might have been missing.
Whether it’s in the center of your town or in the middle of your courtyard, all you need to make this fountain is a variety of stone blocks that can easily be found when digging and no doubt you have an abundance of them in your storage chests already!
5. Copper Survival House
Copper blocks are one of the newest additions Minecraft has seen for quite some time. And eventually, you’re going to have stacks of the stuff lying around your base, with seemingly nothing to do with them.
But have you considered making your own copper house? Even if you don’t make it your main base, it can look pretty good in the surrounding area.
Find more details on the survival house design ideas.
6. Stone Bridge
Next on this Minecraft building ideas list, let’s talk bridge design. There’s no point ruining a beautiful world using random blocks to get over a lake, you need to create something just as beautiful when it comes to the bridge itself!
Bridges are always a good idea when considering what to build in Minecraft.
The bridge fits in perfectly with the wood and brick house combination in this small town, and if you’ve got an area similar, this will help inspire you in creative Minecraft bridge design ideas that are just as attractive.
7. Small Castle
Who doesn’t want to live in a castle? You can be the King (or queen) of your Minecraft Kingdom with this castle building. It even features farms, and an enchantment room, so it’s not just about looks!
It’s got everything you need to sustain yourself on the local land.
With a moat to keep out the angry mobs at night, you will have this building up in no time using the One Team’s tutorial.

8. Compact Starter House
There’s no point thinking too big about your Minecraft starter house design ideas. Mainly because you need some cover during the first few days to get your bearings, but also because you don’t have the blocks to build anything impressive.
The compact house design above should inspire you so you don’t have to live in a tiny dirt house in your newest survival world.
9. Automatic Frog Fountain
The automatic frog fountain can make for a great addition to your land and is at the very top of my to-do list when I’m looking for creative things to build in Minecraft especially if I live in a swamp biome.
The ‘automatic’ part is that it opens its mouth between night and day cycles, which adds a little bit of life to your land. Don’t worry about needing profound Redstone knowledge, and it’s all covered in the video!
10. Koi Pond
Fishes from Cod to Salmon can be quite soothing once you’ve caught them and put them into some form of an aquarium.
Rather than boxing them off though, why not build them their own Koi Pond so that they are free to swim around?
11. 4 Bedroom Designs
You can stick your creative Minecraft bed designs in a box room and call it done. Right? That’s how I built my bedrooms in Minecraft when I was all out of Minecraft bedroom ideas.
That is until I found this bedroom tutorial which allowed me to make this much more appealing.
If you’ve got a modern-style home and you’re looking for creative things to build in Minecraft, take a look at these creative bedroom designs.
12. Cabin in the Woods
This cabin in the woods is a beautiful take on a simple starter house design idea that goes way beyond the typical 1 door 4 windows design of the first house you build on your first night in Minecraft.
The best part is all you need is your local materials, and you can even add a basement to the build if you need some extra storage space for your mining resources and treasure you find out in the wilderness.
13. Mushroom House
The Mushroom Biome is one of the coolest and most exciting places to visit on Minecraft, especially since you can find mycelium there as well as the lucrative Mooshroom cows.
But if you have ever considered living there and want to blend in with the surroundings, this Mushroom house is one of the many cool things to build in the Minecraft shroom biome!
14. Gothic Cathedral
Up until now, I’ve shown you buildings that will take you either a couple of minutes or an hour or so to build.
But if you’re looking for creative things to build in Minecraft and don’t mind it being a long project, this humongous Minecraft Cathedral will be right up your alley.
Collecting the materials for this project is going to take hours upon hours, so I’d advise creating Minecraft build ideas like this one in creative mode…unless you feel up to the task!
15. Japanese Dojo
This Japanese Dojo might not be the ideal home to live in, but this is Minecraft after all, you could live instead of a dirt hole if you wanted to.
This is by far the most realistic-looking dojo I’ve seen and with a little bit of work, you can build it in your own world too.
16. Ravine House
Looking out for interesting Minecraft house ideas? Ravines are the source of many essential materials like iron, coal, copper, and diamond.
And whilst it is quite dangerous to navigate this terrain without falling to your death, clearly, they can be used to build your survival base. Which will give you easy access to the plentiful mining resources below.
17. Large Fantasy Tree House
I’ve wanted to live in a treehouse ever since I was a kid, and while that has never become a reality (for obvious reasons), at the very least use this Minecraft treehouse design to build one in my Minecraft world. You can too!
This treehouse perfectly blends in with the environment so it looks completely natural, as if it has been there for many years – with a bit of creativity, you’ll be able to fit it in your own Minecraft world too.
18. Full Survival Base
You might be thinking about a house, a couple of crops, and possibly even an enchant room for your first base.
But what about this complete Minecraft survival house idea, which offers everything you need; unlimited food, access to mining resources, and plenty of storage space for all of your ores?
Best of all it is just going to take your local wood and a couple of stacks of stone to get it built.
19. Nether Sword Portal
If you’re looking for an exciting way to incorporate the Nether Portal into your world while adding an attractive feature to your Minecraft base that could have a whole story/lore around it, then build this Nether Sword Portal.
This is by far one of the most interesting things to build in Minecraft I have seen in a long while, and right after I’ve finished writing this article I’m going to add it to my personal survival world.
20. Village Decorations
You’ve built a barn, you’ve got a tavern and you’ve just finished making your jail but there seems to be something missing?
Every great Minecraft village idea needs decorations to tie everything together, and this video has inspired me.
21. Secret Redstone Mountain Base
Whether you want to hide from your friends or the mobs of the night, having a safe and secure base that utilizes Redstone will help you achieve this.
The secret Minecraft mountain house idea is precisely what you should be looking to build.
22. Working Hammock
Getting creative with blocks in Minecraft can allow you to construct things that shouldn’t really be possible.
This working hammock, for example, can be a great addition to a park area or a yard in your town. It’s at the very top of my personal “cool things to build in Minecraft” list, that’s for sure.
23. Geode Base
If you’re looking for a base that’s a little unusual, but very much practical and pretty, then taking advantage of the new Geode spawns in the recent Caves & Cliffs update will be a great idea.
Above, you can see how you can flesh out the bright purple Geode spawn to create a beautiful base underground.
24. Wooden Survival House
A wooden survival home will be your first base, but it doesn’t have to be all boxes and boring as Minecraft house ideas usually are.
I would use the above design to provide inspiration so the next time you build your very first home in your survival world, and it can look way better than usual.
25. Large Modern House
Although this base utilizes rare minerals like quartz blocks, it is worth the investment if you want to have yourself a modern home.
With plenty of natural elements to help the home blend into a forestry area, this is perfect for anyone looking for Minecraft mansion design ideas and wants to live in a Minecraft mansion in their survival world.
26. Minecraft Modern Kitchen Design
I’ve covered quite a few exterior builds already, but don’t neglect the inside of your buildings.
This Minecraft modern kitchen design should help you understand how your kitchen should look to suit a modern building.
27. Suburban Home
Although it might look a little out of place in a standard Minecraft world, if you’re building a story to be played in adventure mode and looking for a Suburban style home to fit in, this is a design you should copy!
28. Master Bedroom
If you’re looking for more interesting Minecraft bedroom designs than just a bed in a square room, I think you’ll like this master bedroom idea.
It incorporates a lot of blocks to give variation as well as paintings and armors stand to add even more detail.
29. Worlds Smallest Base
I’ve featured large bases and even huge projects that could take you hours upon hours to complete…but how about the world’s smallest base?
If you play Minecraft as efficiently as possible, this might be a good idea.
30. Small Church
Having a center building in your town can really help to tie everything together, and there are a lot of designs and ideas you can go with but I really liked this church one and I think it will inspire a lot of you.
A Minecraft building like this can also add a layer of depth to your world. Perhaps you could create a backstory around it all, maybe it represents a cult your townspeople are a part of? Or a mythical being that they worship? Just like Minecraft, the opportunities are endless!
31. Axolotl Fountain
Axolotls are my favorite creature in Minecraft, so building a fountain based on these beautiful sea creatures just seemed like the right thing to do. Above you can see how it turned out, thanks to Goldrobin guiding me of course.
If you want to make it your own, I’d suggest swapping out the main blocks for your favorite shade of Axolotl; pink (pink wool), yellow (sponge could work), or blue (Cyan concrete).
32. Underwater Mountain House
Minecraft oceans, especially using the best shader packs, can look gorgeous. But usually, you never really build anything near them as the water can be tiresome to navigate without drowning or making life really annoying.
There are many cool things to build in Minecraft, and this underwater mountain base offers ocean views without needing to make on top of or even in the water, just dig out the mountain, and you’ve got a place you can call home!
33. Small Yellow Cafe
If you’ve built a bustling city and you’re looking to add some buildings that can really tie the place together without needing you to acquire all sorts of different blocks and using up a whole host of space, then this Cafe is going to be a great addition.
You can either use this as pure inspiration or you can follow HALNY’s guide to build a 1 for 1 in your own world.
If you’re looking for easy things to build in Minecraft that will have a great effect on your world, this is definitely it.
34. Bookshelf Statue
Every great world needs a library to store your lore books or even just keep track of the small adventures you go on every time you log in.
While building a library can seem like a good idea, it can be quite boring to have the same thing world after world, that’s why I’d use this bookshelf statue. So your library can be on a bookshelf!
35. Lakehouse
Minecraft players (me included) tend to stay far away from ocean biomes when it comes to building anything. Simply because the water can be quite tedious to work around. But this lakehouse makes this task very much worth it.
If you want a home that isn’t going to be bothered by the mobs of the night and you want a building that is a little different, then use this as inspiration for the next time you log in!
36. Squidward’s House
Spongbob was a big part of a lot of people’s childhoods. And we’ve probably always wanted to live in bikini bottoms too!
Building Squidward’s house can make you feel like you’re almost there, and it won’t even take you too long – you just need some wool and a bit of wood to get it entirely constructed.
37. Cute Minecraft House
Looking for cute things to build in Minecraft? This cute little house should provide some inspo!
The builder has used a great combination of blocks to keep everything varied as well as decorating the place with natural decor like vines and plants to help it fit into the grassy woodland area.
Notice how they also decorate the area of their home? This helps to work your building into the environment so it looks natural as if it has been there the whole time!
38. Japanese Torii Gate
This next idea might look out of place in many survival worlds. Still, if you’ve already got some Minecraft Japanese-style building projects complete and you’re looking for another addition, then this Japanese-inspired Torii gate will be a must add.
And the best part is it won’t take you long to build, you could feature a couple around the place to really bring the style to all aspects of your Japanese-style Minecraft world.
39. Tall Mediaeval House
Sick of the identical old boxy houses you’re always living in? Then this medieval house should inspire as to how you should go about making your next Minecraft home – using all of the natural materials around you, and you can create a building that is going to be beautiful and practical.
40. Underwater Village Statute
The Underwater Village Statue is the perfect accent piece for your underwater base or wherever you reside.
You might die a couple of times trying to farm the blocks from the monuments in the ocean, but it’s definitely going to be worth all the effort once this build has been completed.
41. Mushroom Building
Mushrooms are one of the coolest but rarest animals in Minecraft. Mostly because you have to go out into the wilderness to find the Biome where they call home. And then you have to somehow lead the animal ALLLLL the way back to your home.
Instead, why not build a Mooshroom head? Perhaps you could use it to keep your Minecraft farm animals or it could be purely for decoration – whatever its purpose, this is one of the ideal cute things to build in Minecraft survival!
42. Steampunk Watermill
Whilst the watermill will never actually turn, it does provide a touch of realism to any town or city you’re creating.
This has been inspired by steampunk and individualism, so if you’re a fan of either of these themes, then go ahead and add the Steampunk Watermill to your world.
43. Bunker Base
In this article, we’ve talked about living in mountains, on the water, and even right up in the sky. But what about if you want to live underground, like a hermit?
The best part of this Bunker Base is that you still get the natural light of the overworld, and the benefit of being underground is that it provides access to useful mining materials.
44. Nordic Blacksmith House
I am obsessed with Nordic themes in Minecraft, and I think this blacksmith design symbolizes everything I love; ornate wooden designs featuring small but crucial details that bring everything together such as the spider webs on the roof that make it look like there is actual smoke coming out of the chimney.
The best part is that getting materials for this project won’t take too much hassle since it’s just wood and concrete material, which is all around you.
45. Cake Statue
Looking for easy things to build in Minecraft?
This cake statue is a great decoration piece if you’ve got a wacky and wonderful Minecraft world but it can also be used to symbolize where you keep all of your food.
So if your friends are ever hungry, they know exactly where to look instead of wasting time rummaging through endless chests.
46. Bonfire and Camping Setup
If you’re looking for a cozy place to stay for the night or want to add decor to the forest area you reside in, have you considered adding a bonfire and camping gear to spruce up the place?
47. Double Modern Tree House
Treehouses never give you all the room you need to live independently, but with the above design, you can essentially branch to different trees indefinitely.
Create one of the many Minecraft treehouse ideas for your farms, another to make a Minecraft potion, another for your storage, and so on.
48. Modern Quartz House
Quartz is a very expensive resource and is very dangerous to acquire (you need to traverse the Nether to get your hands on it) but as time goes on you’ll have an abundance of it…so why not make use of all those quartz in your treasure chest and make a modern quartz house?
Modern homes can look out of place in your Minecraft home, but if you incorporate things like leaves and sugar cane into the build, they can look like they belong. As does the one above.
49. Venom Pixel Art
So far I’ve featured builds that you can live in. And whilst you can’t live in this building, you can add it to your world to give some decor.
This especially should be up there on your project list if you love Venom from Spiderman as much as I do.
50. Jolteon Pixel Art
Just like the above building design, whilst you can’t live in it, you can add it to your world to show your friends how much you love Pokemon and specifically Jolteon.
If you’re looking for cute things to build in Minecraft and you love pixel art, this is definitely it!
51. Dark Kingdom Windmill
Windmills can be a great addition to any farmland or just a place you call home to add a little bit more life to the area.
This ‘dark’ themed windmill however will make for a much better addition to any corrupted or tainted land you’re building, as part of a story or just because you feel like being evil.
52. Underground Survival Base
I’ve already featured an underground survival base/house idea, but this particular underground survival base is complete with farming patches, animal barns, and other essentials like ample automatic storage and enchantment rooms.
This is by far one of the coolest things to build in Minecraft if you love utilizing space as I do.
Also see: 10 Best Minecraft Animal Farm Ideas
53. Island Separated Skybase
Living on the ground is overrated. Why not make your own skybase? You can be free of all those angry mobs that can kill you, blow you up and you can have a cool base that no one else can get to.
There is no one way to do this correctly, but Overman’s tutorial can at least inspire you on how you should go about making your own Skybase in Minecraft.
Though if you haven’t got your Elytra from the End yet, I’d suggest implementing a way you can actually get up there in the first place!
54. Arcade Style Castle
Although the original design of this castle is inspired by the Clash of Clans, even if you don’t play the mobile hit, I still think it can inspire you if you’re looking to build more “arcadey” style projects in your Minecraft world.
55. Large Steampunk House
If you want to feel like you rule the world (which you technically already do if you’re playing solo survival) building a steampunk house like this one will make you feel like a King/Queen.
It goes far beyond looks, as it provides you with plenty of room for all of the resources you’ve collected on your travels.
56. Wooden Greenhouse
Not every building needs to have an actual purpose, some can just be beautiful for the sake of being beautiful, and this Wooden Greenhouse represents this.
There are no uses for greenhouses in Minecraft, but as you can see from the image above they can really tie a whole area together.
57. Cute Pet Shop
This cute pet shop will be perfect for a small town or just a place where you can show off all the pets you’ve gathered while playing Minecraft.
It shouldn’t take too long to build, needing mostly wool.
58. Gas Station
There are no cars in Minecraft and never will be (unless you use mods), but that doesn’t mean a gas station shouldn’t be your next building project.
It can fit into your large town project or you can just build it because, why not?
59. Pharmacy/Hospital Building
If you get injured in Minecraft, all you need to do is eat a bit of food (like pork or chicken) and then just wait around for your health to regenerate naturally. No need to go to a hospital.
But the following Pharmacy building could still make a great addition to your city if you want to add realism.
60. Pegasus Fountain
Every Minecraft town needs a fountain! Though building a simple fountain with a bit of running water might not exactly cut it, and be the ideal center point of your city.
Why not build a Pegasus fountain in your Minecraft world?
All you need is stone bricks which can easily be acquired by smelting cobblestone and of course a few blocks of quartz from the Nether to build the actual Pegasus.
Even if you don’t go with the original design, perhaps you could instead build another mystical being in its place to make it suit the design of your world.
61. Wooden Country Tavern
Building a wooden country Tavern like this one might take some time, but it will give you everything you need to survive off the land; shelter over your head, a place for animals, land for your crops, and space to mine in.
62. Mountain House
A mountain house is usually my go-to choice as the outside design is very simple and easy to pull off, even for someone like me who is constantly looking for things to build in Minecraft survival despite being terrible at it.
As you can see, this simple yet beautiful Minecraft mountain house design can inspire even the worst of builders like me to make something practical and not too harsh on the eye.
By far an easy thing to build in Minecraft if you’re new to the building aspect of the game.
63. Large Kingdom Clock Tower
Whilst this large kingdom clock tower isn’t going to keep track of the time in your world, or in real life.
It can provide a great center point in your town, or at the very least help to convince anyone that visits that you’ve got a living and breathing city going on in your world.
64. Large Natural Mountain House
Another one of my go-to designs for when I make a new survival world is mountain houses because you only need to bother with the look of the front of the house, and then the back and be as ugly as you want it to be as it’s closed away!
This base can be constructed out of wood that’s all around you and you can add personal details like vines and plants to add some extra life to the project.
65. Wooden and Stone Farmhouse
Farmland can look really out of place at times, especially when it’s just surrounded by a wooden or stone fence.
Also, there is the other issue that you don’t really have a place to put all the crops you’ve harvested unless you want to leave chests lying everywhere…
One way to solve this problem is by building a farmhouse like the one above! It fits in perfectly with the surrounding landscape, and it just adds a lot more realism to the farming area of the world.
66. Bee House
Something a little different! Forget wooden houses, stone houses, or even mushroom houses. Why not live in your very own bee house? Yes..bee house!
Of course, bees are one of the newest additions to Minecraft, allowing you to farm your own honey which can be used in crafting and Redstone traps.
But if you love bees even more than just keeping them as pets, check out this bee house-building tutorial!
67. Large Ship
Of course, blocks don’t really move in this game. So, unfortunately, you can’t take this ship exploring with you (without mods that is). However, at the very least it can add some life to your harbor area and make your town or city feel like it’s actually living and breathing even if that is not the reality.
Building a large ship like this one will take plenty of time and resources, but the result, as you can see above, can be very worth it.
68. Fish Store
The fish store is another cute little building you can add to your world that is going to add a sense of realism to your city or village area. Or you can use it to display all the fantastic fish you’ve gathered over your adventure.
69. Tent House
The tent house is reasonably easy to build and perfect for a new world as you can get the shelter and the space you need to progress to the end game. Not to mention that this gives you an alternative building to a dirt hut or a wooden house you’d typically build.
70. Boat House
The boathouse provides you with a unique home that allows you to live on the water whilst offering plenty of room for storage, a potion room, and an enchantment room.
Whilst water can be annoying to do anything on Minecraft, this boathouse provides an excellent way for you to live in the ocean surrounded by tropical fishes and coral.
71. Ramen Cart
I absolutely love Ramen, so when I found this building tutorial on YouTube I just knew I had to get it built in my own world.
The Ramen cart can be a great way to show your friends where you keep your food in an exciting and creative way.
72. High class Victorian House
Want to feel posh or even like a King? The High-class Victorian house is going to be the perfect main property for your world.
You will have room to store all of the resources you’ve farmed as well as any treasures you’ve got from the Underworlds fortresses or Bastion monuments.
73. Turtle Island
Sick of building in the Desert, Swamp, or even Woodland biomes?
Want to make your world a lot more interesting? Then we think this Turtle Base is going to be an inspiring idea and certainly worthy of your next project!
As you can see, the turtle appears to be carrying a piece of an island on its back, which gives you plenty of room to build your custom Minecraft house on top of it, or anything else for that matter.
74. Floating Castle
Looking for your next big project? This floating castle will keep you busy.
By the end of it, you’ll have a mythical castle in your world that you can call your home – whilst it’s not one of the easiest things to build in Minecraft survival, it’s going to be absolutely worth it.
75. Double Oriental House
The double Minecraft Japanese house idea will be the perfect build if you’re looking for a starting point for a new city or town you’re building in your world.
It utilizes natural resources found in the overworld as well as natural resources found in the underworld to create a beautiful contrasting look.
76. Market Stall
Although there is no functional trade system like in an RPG game in Minecraft (again, unless you have mods) there is still a great purpose behind market stalls like the one above; to add some decor and depth to your world.
If you run a Kingdom, own a City, or live in a small town on your friend’s survival server or on your own creative world, then the above-market stall should be at the top of your list to implement into your project.
77. Nether Inspired Town Hall
If you’re looking for your next big project, and you want it to have an ‘evil feel’, perhaps you’re looking for something that fits in with the lore of your world or the story you’re trying to tell in adventure mode, then this Townhall should be the next fun thing you build in Minecraft.
78. Basic Wooden House
It can be easy to overwhelm yourself with large building projects, especially when you are looking for what to build in Minecraft in terms of the house you’re going to live in.
Above is one of my favorite simple house ideas in Minecraft to build when I just want to survive the dark nights and free myself from the spooky hostile mobs outside.
Although it’s simple, the design is much better than the blocky, square house you’re no doubt residing in right now as you read this.
79. Steampunk Tower
The Steampunk tower is a devilish-looking build that you should construct if you’re looking to start a corruption/tainted world. It will fit right in.
It uses Nether blocks and dark wood to give it its uneasy look and by for one of the best Minecraft build ideas I’ve come across on Grabcraft!
80. Large Animal Barn
Make a quick fence out of wood, put your animals in and then call it a day. That’s what I usually do when I want to keep animals safe from the night.
And while it does work, I have found a much better way of keeping them safe, using this large animal barn video to help me create something beautiful and functional.
81. Island Fortress
Another ocean design I like to lean towards when I’m looking to build a remarkable building in Minecraft is this Island Fortress.
Now it can take some time to build, but it provides you with all the space you need to store your goodies and expand when you need to if you want to add extra rooms for creating potions and keeping farm animals.
82. Wizard Tower
Want more interesting Minecraft builds to construct? Wizard towers can be a grand addition to any forest or swamp biome in your Minecraft world.
I typically like to use this Wizard Tower video for guidance as it incorporates a lot of unique blocks that I never usually use in my builds.
83. Forest Nether Portal
Your nether portal is going to be a useful tool for you to progress in the game but it can look really ugly and out of place in your world, especially if you live in a forest.
The above build should provide some inspiration on how you can incorporate the underworld portal much better into your project.
It’s one of the best Minecraft builds, including the Nether portal. Follow our guide on how to make a Nether portal in Minecraft to get the ultimate results.
84. Wooden Steampunk Tall Tower
This steampunk tower is unique, cool, and definitely not something you see every day when you’re playing on all of the Minecraft servers available.
If you’re into Steampunk designs, this is definitely a house you should make your permanent residence, once you go through with building it of course.
I especially like the tree right at the top of the tower which acts as a great accent finish. You could even extend the tower to as tall as you want, maybe even using some of the sky bases on this list as inspiration.
85. Mining Entrance
A hole in the mountain works fine as an entrance to your mineshaft, but it can be quite nice to spice things up a little and just make it a lot easier on the eye…even if you don’t need to you might as well add some style to a place you’re going to be visiting on the daily.
Above is my own take on a mining entrance. Of course, there’s no need to copy it like for like, but it should help give you some inspiration with your own mineshaft; make sure to incorporate different styles of blocks, and of course, don’t forget about lighting it up with lamps!
86. Abstract House
If you’re looking to build a home that is completely modern but that is definitely unique and unlike you’ve ever seen before in Minecraft, this abstract house should be your next huge project in this game.
It’s definitely going to make a lot of effort, but by the end, you’re going to be left with a creative masterpiece that will leave you the envy of all of your Minecraft friends.
And since it’s to separate buildings, that means two separate bases for yourself or one for your best friend.
87. Mediaeval Large Bridge
If you’re looking for something extravagant to do in your medieval-style Minecraft world, then this large wooden and stone bridge should inspire you with all the inspiration you need.
Personally, even with a guide, I’d struggle to complete this build due to how hard it would be to build in solo because of how tall it is and the blocks required. More power to you if you can pull it off!
88. Stone Arch Bridge
There are a couple of modern buildings on this list already, and if you choose to design any of them a great complementing project could be a modern arch bridge that will help to fit the theme of your world.
It will take plenty of stone (and plenty of patience) to build this bridge, but by the end, you’ll be able to get from A to B much more straightforward and, of course, in style. See more Minecraft bridge ideas.
89. Tiny Stone House
I’ve featured some pretty gigantic builds up until now, but I’d thought I’d add this little tiny house as inspiration but also a reminder that big isn’t always better.
If you build this Minecraft house in your survival world, you’ll have a home base up and running in no time so you can get back to what you love; exploring!
90. Realistic Fire Station
Sure you can’t get into the fire truck and put out that forest fire right near your Minecraft house, but at least it adds something unique to your town or city that will add a sense of realism to the whole area.
The Fire station is also detailed with a Minecraft interior design that reflects real life and you can add anything else you think is missing from the original design or that might be unique to your own town.
91. Wooden Swamp Bridge
Swamps can be a very peaceful place to live in Minecraft, but it can take a lot of mini-building projects to make sure that the area is complemented properly.
One of the things I always like to add is a wooden bridge that decorates the area but also adds practicalness so I can get to where I need to go.
This is very easy to build, and you just need to harvest the wood that is all around you to begin your build. Feel free to add lanterns and even vines to add a little bit more decor to the build.
92. Huge Skybase
I’ve already featured a skybase on this list, but I want to feature one that might take you some extra time but is absolutely worth it. If you’re looking to make a skybase your main hub area for your world, then the above example is definitely it.
You should tackle things your own way, as this sort of design might not fit into your current world, but if you want to make a like for like then check out TheMythicalSausage video on this sky house project.
93. Decorative Dirt House
Dirt houses might not be at the top of the list when it comes to ‘beautiful buildings’ in Minecraft, but the one above might be able to change your mind.
Of course, this is going to be pretty simple to build since there is dirt all around you, and because it’s meant to look ‘unique’ it can easily be changed and adjusted to fit in with your Minecraft world.
If you’ve got the resources, you can add bookcases, enchantment tables, and anything else to make it more practical…though if you’re looking for dirt house inspo, you probably don’t have those sorts of things quite yet.
94. Enchanting Table Statue
Just like the other ‘block builds’ on this list, this enchantment table statue can either be used as Minecraft decoration ideas for your world, or it can be a place where you put your enchanting tools like the enchanting table, experience farm, diamond tools, books, and anvils!
95. Tie Fighter
If you love Star Wars or just all things space, this next building is going to be perfect for your save file.
You could use it as your personal base, or you could just add it to your world to make things a little more interesting, either way, this Tie Fighter is going to add some jaw-dropping design to the whole area.
Though, you’re going to need about 2000 blocks to fully complete this amazing piece, from red wool to red stone.
96. Chicken Farm
This next Minecraft building idea is a little different since you can’t really live in it but it will provide some use when added to your Minecraft world.
Essentially this chicken farm allows you to get unlimited food so that you can worry about your next building projects and not your next meal.
It takes a little bit of time to get it set up, but it’s very worth it. A lot of automated farms on Minecraft can look pretty ugly, this one is a great alternative.
97. Victorian Castle
Victorian-themed buildings translate so well into Minecraft, as you can see from this large Victorian castle. It features woodblocks, concrete, and even gold blocks to give the place a little bit of glam.
This will be a big project to pull off, but by the end of it, you’ll have an extravagant Minecraft castle to live in.
Oh, and you’ll probably need plenty of Minecraft bedroom ideas to fill those rooms!
98. Pumpkin House
If concrete and wooden houses aren’t really your thing and you’re looking for something a little different that is fun to build, then this Pumpkin house will be just what you’re after.
Even if you just use this building to keep your automatic pumpkin farm in, it can be a spooky addition to your farming plot.
You’re going to need about 500+ jack o’lanterns to fully complete this design, so get farming!
99. Gingerbread House
Whether it’s the holiday season as you’re reading this, or you’re just looking for something to put in the snowy biome you reside in, this gingerbread house is going to be a treat.
Made from practically all of the different colors of a wool block, placing a couple of these around would help to add plenty of color and vibrant style.
100. Large Custom Tree
Whilst trees are an essential part of any Minecraft world as they can add character and natural elements, they are on the smaller side and are pretty much copied and pasted across the world.
This huge mage-inspired tree can add some much-needed variation and makes for a great central point in your town.
101. Dwarven Portal Room
Nether portals can look really out of place, not to mention the annoying noise they can make if you build one too close to your base.
Above is a unique nether portal design in the style of dwarven themes. Whilst this might not be the ideal design for you, allow it to inspire you the next time you’re making a portal to the underworld.
102. Rustic House
Similar to other Minecraft build ideas featured on this list, this rust home uses logs, wood planks, and a variety of stone blocks to supply you with a large Minecraft house that you can grow into. It has plenty of room for storage, potion brewing, and smelting!
If you need any more space, copy the style and add your own extension on.
Conclusion
The Minecraft world is a limitless space where you can do anything. There are millions of different unique buildings to create and explore.
Whether your goal is building something that looks like it could exist in real life or creating an enormous hybrid animal, there’s bound to be at least a few Minecraft Building ideas you’ve come across in this post that you’re just aching to create in your own Minecraft world!

- леса, джунгли и тайга густо заполнены деревьями;
- на болоте — сплошь топи и лианы;
- в пустыне кругом пески и кактусы;
- песок — пустыня, берега океана и рек;
- булыжник — горы, шахты и пещеры;
- дерево, шерсть — равнина, леса, саванна, снежные биомы и т. д.;
- руда (железо, медь, золото) — шахты и пещеры;
- топор для древесины;
- кирку для руды и породы;
- ножницы для шерсти и паутины;

Minecraft».
Minecraft
- четырёхугольной;
- квадратной;
- круглой;
- сферической;
- эллиптической;
- пирамидной;
Finder02/mcpehub.org
- треугольная;
- в виде полусферы;
- односкатная и двускатная;
- деревенский (средневековый) стиль: двускатные крыши, грубые формы, много зелени, в материалах преобладают древесина и камень;
- замковый (средневековый) стиль: остроконечные шпили, большая высота, круглая форма башен, в материалах преобладает камень;

- разные виды дерева;
- дерево и камень;
- камень, дерево и блоки руды;
- картины;
- цветочные горшки;
- растения;

- спальня с кроватью;
- склад, где вы будете хранить ресурсы;
- кухня или рабочее помещение с печью, где можно готовить еду и обжигать материалы;
- Minecraft Inside —
- Minecraft Rating —

Watch Tutorial
Here’s a prison designed by HALNY to house the most notorious criminals in your Minecraft world. The prison is surrounded by towering stone walls, reinforced with iron bars and watchtowers, creating an impenetrable barrier to keep even the craftiest inmates at bay.
The prison uses a variety of stone, quartz, and iron blocks. It features a fully automated cell with levers to open and close bars.
What impressed me about this build is the clever use of materials to create furniture seen in prisons. While some of them are not functional, it adds a nice touch to the prison’s overall look.

There are countless pond and fountain builds in Minecraft. While they are all great, there’s something very appealing about ManDooMiN’s massive aquarium.
The aquarium sits on a 20×10 grid and will look great in your yard. Chiseled quartz makes up the aquarium’s frame, and moss blocks are used for the flooring. Like any aquarium, the walls are made from glass.

Sky Base
Of course, the underground is a safe place to be. Then again, it has its fair share of perils, too: unanticipated lava pools, monsters, not to mention other players mining.
If you are looking for a unique premise for your next super-safe Minecraft base, look no further than this impressive tutorial from Folli.
It features a large platform high in the sky, accessed only by a single waterfall. This means that it will be difficult for intruders to enter uninvited. Plus, it looks awesome!
This epic infinity pool by ManDooMiN will look great regardless of what version you’re playing and what biome you place it in.
This features two connected swimming pools that are made from glass. A water slide on the side goes from the top to the secondary pool at the bottom. This infinity pool is made mainly from blue/cyan concrete and glass.
The exposed sides of the infinity pool are covered with chiseled quartz, and white carpets are placed on top to make the edges of the pool pop.
ManDooMin’s infinity pool will look good on modern or futuristic builds.

Theme Park
Step aside, Rollercoaster Tycoon and Planet Coaster fans. Minecraft players also have all the resources they need to build their own city-like designs in the guise of theme parks. From a fully-functional Ferris wheel to various food booths, there are projects of all shapes and scopes that you can consider when building a Minecraft theme park.
You don’t have to learn the intricacies of Redstone and object interactions by yourself, either. There are plenty of tutorials online that can help you recreate theme park essentials in Minecraft. You can start simple with food booths, dartboards, and other such objects. Once you get the hang of things, you can move on to more complex structures like roller coasters!

That means this Minecraft build won’t be too hard to build in the early stages of city planning.
The build not only includes a stunning exterior but a fully-fleshed interior that really adds an element of realism and decor to your Minecraft world. Wooden stairs line the walls of the train, while ender rods represent railings for passengers to hold onto. We really love this build and can’t wait to try it for ourselves!
If you just finished building your base and looking for something to put on the outside, you can use this epic playground idea from ManDooMiN. Compared to Minecraft gardens or farms, having a playground in your yard is something unique and fun.
This amazing playground sits on a 23×23 grid, leaving plenty of space to put on swings, slides, and more. You can even make it bigger to have more room to run around and have fun with your friends!
ManDooMin’s playground features platforms, swings, a sandbox, and even a small boat ride.
22
Mini Biomes
In real life, there’s a subset of people who enjoy taking care of bonsais, terrariums, and any miniature versions of natural landscapes. The Minecraft version of this fascination, you could say, is a fascination with making mini biomes.
This activity is perfect for players who want to take remnants of their adventures and recreate them back home. For example, if you’re home is in a desert biome, you can venture out into a field biome and forage some unique resources, which will then be put to good use as a decorative mini biome back home.
Since you don’t use up a lot of resources for this project, you can be as creative as you want and make endless little slices of the overworld at home!
23
Greek Temple
If you were given the opportunity to go on an adventure anywhere in the world, where would you go?
If you answered Greece, then we have some news for you! This Greek Temple by Lytezcraft is a faithful recreation of Greek-style buildings like the Parthenon, molded with a more creative and personalized touch befit for a savvy Minecraft player.

Minecraft McDonald’s
There’s always something fascinating about making modern, real-life brands come alive in the Minecraft world. This Modern McDonald’s Restaurant by TSMC does just that — featuring the bold and iconic McDonald’s symbol on a building that replicates architecture that stays true to this fast-food chain.
While the interior is full of neat furniture ideas that make this restaurant pop, the exterior also places some cool true-to-life quirks like a parking lot and a little lawn arrangement. Perhaps you can consider building an In ‘n’ Out or a KFC building beside it to round it off.
25
KFC
This KFC Restaurant by HALNY is one of our favorite Minecraft ideas that are instantly recognizable thanks to the white-and-red backdrop and simple architecture. You can even choose to add a couple of realistic mods to make it look even more true-to-life.

26
Huge Modern Mansion
If you’re tired of dirt and log builds, this Huge Mansion by FlyingCow is one of the best Minecraft building ideas that can give you some inspiration.
With contemporary, sleek, and modern themes, this is one of the cooler Minecraft build ideas that you can create.
The central section of the house is cut, making it a perfect contender for home ideas with multiple people. Inside, you can find six major rooms: living room, kitchen, bedroom, library, lounge, and roof terrace. A beautiful and well-kept garden also provides a calming view of nature.

28
Underwater Living Complex
If you have read our list of Ten of the Best Minecraft Base Designs, you will know we are fans of underwater bases.

It has massive, sprawling glass windows, a beautiful angular design, and enough floor space for all the mod cons. A brand-new underwater house could be just the thing needed to breathe a bit of life back into your Survival world.

31
Food Truck
Minecraft builds ideas that revolve around food and are sure to attract the hungry. But if you really want to stand out, a food truck is one of the cool things to build in Minecraft.
This Food Truck By HALNYALNY has a lovely mix of striped textures, an adorable design, and a cozy interior that can tempt hungry passersby to queue for food.
The best thing about this build is the ability to plop down the truck anywhere in the world. Middle of the jungle? Sure. By the seaside? Absolutely possible!
32
Minecraft Gas Station
Constructing a contemporary city? You’ll need a Gas Station similar to HALNY’s build to fuel those imaginary cars.
This gas station provides an aesthetic pit stop for your Minecraft city build. To start off, you’ll need End Rods, Bricks, and Stone Bricks. All laid out exactly like in HALNY’s tutorial.
The indoor building will also benefit from black and white checkered flooring. Though you’re free to pick any floor design you wish. Your city, your rules.
33
Walmart
Watch Tutorial
Check out this building suggestion by CreeperReeper. He showcases a Walmart store complete with its trademark parking lot and massive storefront. The parking area even has a special spot for shoppers to leave their carts.
Having a Walmart in your city is a nice feature, bringing a touch of real-life vibes to your blocky world.
34
Apartment Block
Tone down the skyscraper a little bit, add some aesthetic touches to it, and you get this Minecraft Apartment by HALNY. This four-story high apartment complex features eight rooms, four hallways, and balconies on each floor.
The bottom floor is adorned with plant shrubs as well for an all-around minimalist look. Each room looks identical in this build too, but no one’s stopping you from picking it apart and making your own creations. All in all, this apartment build is a perfect, modern home base for you and the gang.
35
Clothes Store
This Clothes Store by HALNY is another one of the top things to build in Minecraft we’d recommend.
With contemporary wallpaper, simple checkered flooring, and a wooden base, this simple Minecraft building has all it needs to look good.
On top of that, this building can also double as both a building and a place to showcase and store your armor collection.
So if you’ve ever wanted to flex your complete armor collection to your friends, this is the perfect chance to do it. Don’t miss your chance.😉
36
Hanging House
With block gravity being virtually non-existent in Minecraft, you have a staggering amount of creative freedom to create some crazy designs.
This Hanging House design by One Team, for instance, is one such Minecraft build.
Hanging by a jutted portion of a mountain face, this house, frankly, looks like a Minecraft treehouse on steroids.
It’s also quite practical, with a fully-functional wheat farm that you can mod to your heart’s desire.
37
Cherry Tree
There’s something undeniably magical and calming about cherry blossoms. Not only do they look mesmerizing, but their rarity makes them quite elusive.
Unfortunately, we don’t always have the pleasure of getting spawned close to a Cherry Blossom Grove. But that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the beauty of these marvelous pink trees!
With a little bit of planning and effort, you can create your own cherry blossom tree from scratch. If you need a little help visualizing your project, you can watch a video by Cortezerino, who made a spectacular video on how to build a Japanese garden with a cherry blossom centerpiece.
38
Japanese Tower
Pagodas in Minecraft builds can be just as visually stunning as they are in real life. This Japanese Tower by One Team features a beautifully-ornate design with intricate roofing. Thanks to its massive height, this structure may also be used as a lookout point for your base thanks to its numerous tiers and lamps on each corner.
Add a couple of cherry blossom trees as decoration ideas, and you got yourself a real eye-catcher!
39
River Bridge
Is your town split by a river or lake?
If you’re not recreating Venice canals or anything of that sort, you’ll need a bridge. The Fairy Tale Cottage Core River Bridge by Kelpie The Fox offers an aesthetically pleasing solution to all your watery woes. Aside from function, it also looks gorgeous and cute with its dazzling display of hanging lanterns, some potters and plants along the bridge, and a rooftop to protect you from the sun.
40
Cute Cafe
This Cute Cafe by HALNY is an incredibly small Minecraft design, there’s no denying that.
But don’t let its size fool you—it takes a lot of creativity to make a small design work well in Minecraft.
And our thoughts? This one absolutely steals the show with its minimalist and compact design.
Housed within an 11×6 grid, this cafe manages to squeeze in a baking area, some seats, and even a few floral arrangements outside the premises. All without looking too cluttered!
41
Hit the gym with this next Minecraft build. This build features gym machinery like boxing bags, bench presses, and even weights for deadlifting. It uses Nether Skeleton skulls to represent dumbells and has a lounge/juice bar on the first floor.
The exterior consists of various concrete blocks like dark and light gray concrete with a red second floor. Other blocks include lectures, chains, armor stands, and all five chest plates.
It’s yet another perfect modern build for those with Minecraft cities. It would look perfect next to the Minecraft bank we mentioned earlier.
42
Basketball Arena
Watch Tutorial
Here’s a basketball arena built by TSMC that you can add to your city. The arena sits on a 47×77 grid, making it great for hosting large gatherings and other sporting events.
However, this isn’t a typical arena that you’ll see anywhere. TSMC’s basketball arena uses a glass roof design, giving you a view of the court from the outside and a view of the skyline from the inside.
The arena features a full-sized court with rings, a scoreboard at the center, and layered benches for fans.
43
An Aquarium (With Real Fish!)
I think Minecraft is a lot better since Mojang decided to fill the oceans with innumerable species of fish. From colorful to mundane, most players will never get a good chance to lay eyes on their new aquatic friends.
So, wouldn’t it be good if players could have a tank full of fish in their homes? That’s exactly what VexelVille’s easy modern aquarium tutorial hopes to achieve. Filled with natural underwater decoration, it can even be constructed in survival mode!
44
Modern Villa
Sometimes, all we want is a grand estate where we can enjoy the summer views of the outside world. And that’s totally ok — who wouldn’t want to see the sunlit views from outside your bedroom? This Modern Villa by Akila Gaming is a contemporary house design that boasts impressive architecture.
From the second-floor outdoor garden with bamboo soaring high in the air to the open-window design of the house’s center, this grand estate is truly one of a kind.
45
Haunted Mansion
Want to spook your friends? Consider recreating a haunted mansion in Minecraft and give them a fright as they explore its abandoned and frightening halls.
This old mansion is almost entirely made out of Wooden blocks, which gives off an old and dilapidated vibe. Various decorative elements like cobwebs and a Jack o’ Lantern head on the building’s facade only adds to the eeriness of this building.
That said, you can always introduce your own spin and use Cob
46
Minecraft Treehouse
I have seen a lot of people try to build a Minecraft treehouse. Don’t get me wrong, some of them turn out just fine. But by far, the big problem is almost always the same: the tree is too small.
In part, that’s what makes Typface’s Minecraft Treehouse tutorial so impressive. They don’t just build a killer above-ground base with a lookout station and all the necessary amenities. They also build the perfect tree itself, which is both big enough to accommodate the base of the house.
47
A Modernist Masterpiece
Don’t worry if you build wood and stone blocks to reside in. I can’t lie, I often do the same.
Are you looking for new and inventive Minecraft-building ideas to survive the night? Why not check out this tutorial from JUNS MAB, demonstrating how a real architect would approach building a fashionable living quarter?
The result is a Modernist masterpiece, the likes of which you have likely seen in the fanciest areas of town.
48
Floating Islands
Building on land is overused and overrated. Create a Floating Island inspired by SlowPayz instead!
According to the video creator, to build it you’ll have to find a suitable location, place a block and build up 7 blocks high, put a cross on the second block’s layer, then cascade it until you reach the top, like an upside-down pyramid. That’ll be the base of the build.
From there, your island can house anything that fits. Personally, a Sakura tree there would be mighty fine there.
49
Let’s face it, we’ve all thought about building a skyscraper at one point. But think about it, how many of us have actually gone on and done it?
If you’re looking to replicate a cool design, this Modern Skyscraper by HexRegulus is a majestic white concrete marvel that has swirly, see-through shatter-proof glass as the exterior. Build this skyscraper in a city or as a standalone—you’re sure to turn heads with this building idea penetrating the skies.
50
Frog Water Fountain
Houses are something you are going to want in every Minecraft world you play. But the fun doesn’t stop when you’ve got furnishings, four walls, and a roof.
Some of the make-or-break elements of a great Minecraft house are what adornments you surround it with. YouTuber BitGarden has a really interesting take on a waterworks set piece: a fantastic-looking stone frog that will fit into any pond or lake house you are putting together.
Using some Redstone magic and a couple of daylight sensors, this frog fountain can activate and then deactivate in line with daylight cycles. This grants you a low-effort dynamic statue that looks exceptional, too.
It would look extra awesome if you had one of the Best Anime Minecraft Texture Packs to go with it!
51
Town Square Statue
If frogs aren’t your thing (what is wrong with you?), but you are still interested in a Water Fountain of sorts, why not build one… of yourself?
This awesome tutorial by YouTuber Phelps features quick instructions for three custom fountains. But in my opinion, the coolest is of a featureless Minecraft Steve, posing on one knee, carrying the weight of the world like Atlas.
With only a few minor customizations, you could replicate your custom Minecraft skin. Or you could just keep it just vague enough to maintain plausible deniability. It is not arrogance, it is self-appreciation, and these days that’s hard to come by.
52
Dream Skin Base
If you’re a fan of Minecraft Youtubers, you’re sure to have heard of Dream. If you’re a Dream fan, why not try out this Dream skin base? This design comes from the talented Minecraft creator Devon Hawes. It is the perfect tribute to the Minecraft Youtuber and content creator.
The build is pretty simple on the outside but contains many decorative and functional blocks on the inside. You’ll need green, white, and black concrete and other blocks like green glass and paintings. Other blocks include smooth quartz slabs, ender rods, and jungle leaves.
53
Traditional Village Well
If you are tired of using that 2×2 dirt cut-out with a bucket of water on each side to constantly replenish your supplies, why not check out Michael Heist’s guide to building an awesome decorative well?
It’s a very simple design, but one that will fit well with any grassland home or base set-up. Best of all, he demonstrates a couple of easy ways to mix it up and make it look unique without the need for a high material investment.
54
Marshland Roofed Bridge
You can’t get wet in Minecraft, so we are no strangers to wading through marshy waters instead of walking around them. But what if I told you there was a way to cross over short stretches of water that is simple and looks amazing?
Look at this tutorial by Typeface, which shows us how to put together a shockingly simple roofed bridge. It is made with wood, cobble, and some clever floor placement to look almost as if it required custom textures.
55
Nether Base
The Nether Update fundamentally transformed the underworld. The biggest change was that it stopped being that place you go for five minutes and leave.
Now, the Nether is an attractive place to spend a lot of time in-game. So, it just makes sense that some players would opt to build a massive permanent base in the Nether.
It is fitted with everything you’d expect from its overworld counterparts and a few extra defenses to deal with all the horrors the nether must throw at you.
One of my favorites out there is GeminiTay’s Ultimate Nether Base, which is so impressive that I’d probably prefer to use it as my main base, ditching my overworld residence entirely.v
56
Minecraft Television
And speaking of your blocky man cave, what use will it be without your very own television, too?
This tutorial by BlenDigi shows you how to put together any of 6 unique Minecraft TV designs, each looking fantastic and with a size and style that can fit any base design.
57
Minecraft Airport (With Flying Planes)
The Minecraft world is big and this is why an airport has made it on our list of things to build in Minecraft. So, when trying to get from A to B, it is no surprise that the citizens of Minecraftia might need to hop on a plane now and then.
Luckily, you will have seen this awesome tutorial by YouTuber HALNY, which shows you how to build a convincing-looking airport with a landing plane still in the sky!
Whether fitting this into a modern Minecraft city or adapting it for something a little more rural, this is a design feature bound to draw attention whenever you are next showing off your Minecraft world.
58
Minecart Roller Coaster
If you ever played Rollercoaster Tycoon or Thrillville back in the day, you would know how much fun it is to build your custom rollercoaster attractions.
It may not seem entirely obvious – after all, the Minecart physics systems aren’t nearly intricate enough for loop-the-loops and barrel rolls – but with a bit of creativity, you can easily throw together a killer Minecraft Rollercoaster that will keep you entertained for hours.
It is likely to require a lot of Redstone and tracks. So, it may not be a practical project for newly opened survival worlds. But if you are looking to see what excitement simple Minecart tracks are capable of, check out this demo by YouTuber KudilStyle.
59
Boat Water Slide
Minecarts don’t have the most intuitive physics, though. Instead, many users opt to build something resembling a water slide, a rollercoaster that utilizes boats instead of minecarts.
Boats can bounce, jump, climb, accelerate, and decelerate with ease, making them the perfect tool for builders creative enough to bypass their limitations.
For an awesome Boat Water Slide with jumps, lifts, and ramps to inspire your next Minecraft build idea, check out this tutorial from Youtuber Swifters287.

Street Lights
When you’ve put together something of a village or a small town, something you need to concern yourself with is outdoor lighting. Luckily, Redstone daylight sensors allow you to build a series of stylish streetlights that turn on automatically whenever it starts to get dark.
As far as stylish streetlight designs go, I like this collection of 8 tutorials from Kenneth. Match it with this tutorial for automating them by iDonPower, and you’ll never have to run Revenge style through the dark again!
Minecraft parkour maps are a mainstay of many online servers and challenge maps but attempting to build your own could be a great addition to your creative or survival world.
Essentially, parkour maps are mid-air platform challenges where players must judge large and small jumps from block to block. In the more difficult maps, blocks are replaced with more unconventional items with unique hitboxes, like cobwebs and fences. It takes a lot more skill than regular Minecraft, so check out our list of the Best Mouse for Minecraft in 2021.
If you are not sure where to start and you would like a refresher on the basics of creating an awesome Parkour map, check out this tutorial by YouTuber Ragon Akashi.

Obsidian City in the End
Minecraft doesn’t officially have an end. But when you get as far as defeating the Ender Dragon, you get the sense that you should start thinking about making a new Minecraft world.
But stop! Why would you quit before you have made good use of The End? It’s an often neglected but incredibly fertile bit of space to build something truly impressive, and I have some ideas if you don’t know where to start.
By far, my favorite is this Minecraft City built exclusively around the End Towers. Best of all, creator Grain has uploaded an entire speedrun of him building it so you can follow along, too!

Perform Your Favourite Song with Minecraft Note Blocks
Minecraft note blocks have been a staple of the game for as long as I can remember, dating back to the first ‘Minecraft Note Block Cover videos in 2011.
Essentially, note blocks are Redstone-powered devices that play a single note when Redstone power is passed through them.
Their tone and sonic qualities can be varied based on which block they are connected to. This allows users to create elaborate performances of any song they can think of.
One of the most impressive is this Note Block Cover of Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up by YouTuber Brui.
If you are looking for a great starting point for what is a complex science, this tutorial series by Amosdoll is easy, accessible, and gets you straight into the action.

Mushroom House
One of the many things that make Minecraft fun is the unbridled creativity you can exercise in the game. This Mushroom House by Dad’s Guide is a testament to this fact, featuring a bright-red capped mushroom building idea that doubles down as a lodging cabin as well.
Inside, you can build a modern cottage, a cozy cabin, or a mystical enchantment room — whatever makes your heart run wild! After that, you can make your fantasy come true and create an entire village of Mushroom homes. Just be careful with monsters lurking at night.

Lake House
Wouldn’t it be nice to just wake up to the sight of pristine waters surrounding the four corners of your home? This Lake House built by DayPixel recreates a home where you can fish and swim to your heart’s delight.
It’s a two-floor log cabin with a miniature garden, outdoor port area, and all the rooms you’ll need to stay cozy. Glowstone blocks light up the area at night, too, keeping the monsters at bay.

Survival House
It’s your first day in Minecraft — and you’re sick and tired of recycling the dirt block cabin for who knows how long.
This stilted Survival House by SheepGG can inspire you with some neat ideas to use for your next “New World” build, from a garden balcony to an underground portion to grow your next meal. It’s well-fortified too, elevated to fend off any surprise visits.

Minecraft Pond Design
I don’t know about you, but nothing beats strolling past a silent pond with vibrant lotus pads and various flowers and plants scattered around every corner. This Pond by One Team features an array of beautiful and natural adornments with the pond as its centerpiece.
Aside from the pond itself, a tiny boardwalk serves as a private fishing spot too. Perfect for when you want to break free from all the back-breaking mining and monster killing.

Cattle And Livestock Pen
I have seen it in just about every survival world my friends show me. A house with a large fenced-off square beside it, filled with just about every farm animal available on the game.
If you are looking for a fun project to make your base even more aesthetically pleasing, why not try out this Cow Pen tutorial from Fresh Joy?
Concise and well-designed, there will be enough space here for all your favorite farm animals. It will also be a handy way to get close to your farm animals, given that they aren’t free to roam about a massive square of land.

Redstone Door Minecraft building ideas
A pressure plate door where you don’t have to flick a lever or touch a button to let it open? Yes, please!
This Redstone Door by BlenDigi harnesses the power of Redstone dust to create an automated entryway. All you have to do is step into a designated area — and the blocked-off wall in front of you will magically open like a secret passage.
Better yet, find more cool Redstone contraptions for your next creative home.

Unbreakable Wall
Have you ever been chased by an ill-intentioned looter in PVP? Have they broken through your base—leaving your home in ruins?
With this Unbreakable Wall by Mumbo Jumbo, you won’t have to worry about them breaking in your home. Doing so would send Cobblestones blocks falling back into place, leaving your infiltrator stuck with no way of getting in.
The build will require heavy knowledge of Redstone contraptions, but nothing a little patience and dedication can’t fix.
71
Minecraft Volcano
Volcanoes don’t naturally spawn in Minecraft, as the lava tends to cluster around the Bedrock layers below the surface. But who’s stopping players from setting up their own ones themselves?
This massive-scale Volcano built by Shannooty is primed to defy expectations. I mean, seriously, look at the size of that thing! From the gargantuan desolated island that makes up the volcano floor to the jagged rock formation jutting out towards the sky, this hundred-hour-long project is one Minecraft building idea to rule them all.
72
Torii Gate
If you’re feeling drowsy at the thought of constructing more buildings, creating a pretty path design can be a nice change of pace.
This Japanese-inspired Torii Path Design by ZayPixel is a true-to-life rendition of the actual Torii gates scattered across places around Japan. Aside from the iconic gate, there are also Glowstone lamp posts that provide lighting as you stroll past the area. This design fits well in a Zen Park or a rural, Asian-themed village.

If you’re in PVE mode or playing against multiple factions, it’s important to mark your territory and declare your boundaries. This Minecraft Skull Banner Design by BlenDigi can be a threatening way for you to ward off any unwanted visitors from entering your property.
Having it hanging on your rooftop is like saying, “If you come any closer, you’re D-E-A-D!” Whether your character is jacked with mega-powerful armor or only has scrawny Iron armor to save their skin, anyone can feel the fear emanating from a Skull banner design.
74
Underground House
Instead of building your base up, up, and up, why not consider building your base low to the ground? This Underground House by Spudetti displays a circular base area that’s divided into four quadrants. Each section represents a room—a dining room, a bedroom, a library, and so on.
While it may seem disadvantageous to have a base so low to the ground, you have to admit: it does look impressive. Plus, you can always add floors on top of it, sort of like a spire or the Colosseum.
75
Perfect Minecraft Igloo
It isn’t just desert biomes players usually avoid like the plague. I’ve had my fair share of Survival worlds doomed by spawning in a vast tundra, where quitting and making a new world with a different seed is usually a better alternative to slaving away in the snow. But this survival igloo tutorial from YouTuber Mr Mirror is a doozy. It looks outstanding while harnessing only the resources which are available in the tundra biome. Fit with an outside seating and campfire area, this is your golden bullet for never avoiding the snow again.

Underground Survival Bunker
Implying that Survival is difficult is a bit of a meme at this point, but it can be a challenge. Throw in a couple of crafty other players vying for valuable resources. The need for a safe place to live, craft, and defend is doubled.
This showcase tutorial from Spudetti shows just how awesome a fully kitted-out survival bunker can be. With more storage than you will ever need, it’s the perfect base from the game’s beginning to the game’s end. Best of all, it’s hidden away completely out of sight.
I don’t know about you, but I remember when Adventure Maps were huge. They can be anything from parkour courses to detective simulators and include everything from intricate Redstone programming to programmed command blocks.
The process of building an adventure map involves creating custom skins, writing dialogue, coming up with plotlines, and building expansive spaces for your story to play out. An unconventional Minecraft building idea, to be sure, but one I bet many players have never thought about.
Finally, why not play through some of the most popular adventure maps to get started? From challenges, and puzzles, to Minecraft RPGs, find them all on minecraftmaps.com.

Nether Portal Entrance
A doorway to Narnia? Nope, it’s the Fairy Tale Nether Portal Entrance by Kelpie The Fox!
This Fairy Tale Nether design is a relatively simple structure that requires only Wooden material and Nether-producing resources. But don’t let its simplicity fool you. Creating this design helps against monsters randomly spawning in your world or the Nether.

Underwater House 2
There’s no question that Minecraft players are one of the most creative people on the planet. Once more, they create an impressive Underwater House, courtesy of Random Steve Guy, that makes for a beautiful aquatic home. Unlike the other building ideas in this list, this building idea has rooms that rise above the waters.
On one floor, you can watch the sunset. On another floor, you can watch fish swim through corals in your storage room. I’d say that’s neat!
