Моё личное восприятие Призрака тыквенной грядки немного расходится с книжным. Вообще, в проработке этого оракула такое случается часто. В трактовке по книге делается упор на необходимость подсчитать свои богатства = материальные, эмоциональные, духовные, а также на то, что стоит потребовать то, что принадлежит вам. То есть, речь идёт о понимании того, что ваше, а что нет. И вот тут вступает моё собственное видение. Ведь важно не только брать то, что принадлежит тебе, но и уметь вовремя отдавать должное другим. И маленький призрак действительно очень деликатно намекает на то, что пора подумать, а что в вашей жизни, всё-таки, ваше? А ещё на то, что стоит возвращать свои долги и выполнять обещания — они ведь тоже никуда не денутся, и будут преследовать вас, словно призрак, в продолжение всей жизни. Кроме того, людям (и не только) стоит уделять внимание, которого они заслуживают, стоит дать им похвалу, заботу, восхищение, которых они достойны, иначе вы останетесь в одиночестве, словно призрак на совсем пустой туманной грядке. Девочка на грядке почти невидима, полупрозрачна — точно так же иногда нужно хорошенько присмотреться, чтобы увидеть, в чём же нуждаются ваши близкие, нужно внимательно смотреть и слушать, чтобы понять, где ваша помощь и поддержка необходимы.

Повторюсь – остальные оракулы Люси Кавендиш мне не приглянулись, так что, думаю, тут заслуга художницы  – Жасмин Бекет-Гриффит.  Это её девочки изображены на картах, её почерк и фирменный стиль.

Вкратце о технической части. Карты большие – 13,6 на 9,2 сантиметров (немного неудобно мешать, поэтому я беру колоду вертикально), – плотные. Не знаю, как правильно сказать – они словно заламинированные, гладкие, глянцевые. Рубашка – изображение из колоды, Ангел Алхимии. Карты идут в коробке с книжкой. Коробка тоже очень плотная и глянцевая, открывать удобно, но она под формат книги, так что колода в ней болтается.

В целом, книга мне показалась, как и ожидалось, по-американски наивной, настаивая на исключительно добром отношении всех этих существ со странными глазами и кукольными лицами к людям. Но кое-что оттуда почерпнуть, конечно, можно. Структура традиционная – рассказ о колоде, о существах, изображённых на картах, советы по раскладам, схемы и затем – значения карт, итого на 129 страниц хорошей белой бумаги в весьма убористом формате.

Из книги: “Ибо этот оракул не похож ни на какой другой: Он для потерянных и одиноких, для тех, чьё сердце разбито, для покинутых и неприспособленных – для странников и тех, кто чувствует себя чужим даже среди друзей”. Тут, правда, скептическое сознание напоминает о том, что госпожа Кавендиш, скорее всего, лишь постаралась поточнее определить целевую аудиторию, подумав, каким именно людям могут понравиться эти странные создания тени. Но одно другому не мешает.

О чудных тварях, изображённых на картах: “Эти магические создания
 застенчивы и милы, но в то же время они проявляют стойкость и дикость! Они представляют энергетические противоречия: страдающие амнезией ангелы с запачканными лицами и призраки, выполняющие важные миссии!”

Итого, на картах представлены Призраки, Русалки, Древние, Фейри, Ведьмы, Ангелы, Сущности и Исторические персонажи. Это деление, предложенное в книге. Кроме того, присутствует ещё и богиня Кали.

Мне эти существа кажутся во многом индифферентными, несмотря на то, что они смотрят на зрителя, взгляд огромных глаз большинства из них обращён вовнутрь. Оракул интровертов. При этом с помощью этой колоды можно нырнуть глубоко, очень глубоко, а смотреть в эти глаза можно почти бесконечно.

Честно говоря, 45 карт мне показалось мало, я думаю о том, чтобы расширить оракул, распечатав и других существ, изображённых Жасмин Бекет-Гриффит.
